The La Union Standard Academy:
Brief History and Development

The educational mission keeps on calling, thus, no matter what will happen; LUSA must and should stand again. With the help and support, cooperation and prayers of the alumni, the community, students, faculty, and benefactors from all sectors, the school managed to continue.

And the SCHOOL HAD VIGILANTLY ROSE AGAIN FROM THE RUBBLES AND ASHES. The burnt materials were recycled and rebuilt into temporary classrooms with the joint efforts of the studentry, faculty, and concerned citizens. Helps from all sectors were welcomed. Classes continued with borrowed chairs and tables from other schools and agencies. Students had shown their steadfastness as they did not transfer to other schools despite the situation. Gradually, permanent classrooms were constructed in the lot of the late, Mr. Pedro L. Mangaser.

The situation of the school served as a Herculean and gargantuan CHALLENGE to the school administration, to the faculty, to the students, to the alumni and to the parents. Thus, when the school celebrated her 50th (GOLDEN) Foundation day, the theme on Renewal and Rededication to the school mission and goal was advocated as a rebirth and new beginning for a brighter tomorrow in educating the youth - the students.
